newborn session process
My studio is located in Hickman, Nebraska, just 15 minutes south of Lincoln. The day of your newborn session, you'll have a flexible arrival window and no session time limit. There will be drinks, snacks and a playroom for siblings. My studio has everything we need for your session so you can just relax and enjoy watching your little one's first photos.
BEFORE BABY
Choose your session type and reserve your spot by paying the session fee. Your due date is added to my calendar and once baby arrives (early, late or right on time) we set your session date within the first 1-3 weeks.
WHEN YOU DELIVER
Text or email me to let me know baby has arrived! We set the date of your session and you'll receive a prep guide to help you prepare for a successful session. I provide props, swaddles, hats, headbands, etc.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
You'll see all the best images and pick your favorites. Your chosen images are hand edited and uploaded to your final online gallery for you to download and share,

Q: WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK?
A: I take a limited amount of sessions per month (8-10) to ensure availability. I typically book up 2 months in advance. However depending on when pre-scheduled babies arrive, I sometimes have last-minute availability as well. If your baby is already here, please reach out to see if I can still get you in!
Q: HOW LONG DO SESSIONS TYPICALLY LAST?
A: Sessions can take anywhere from 1-3 hours. We take as many breaks as baby needs for feeding and soothing. Great effort is made to ensure your little one is comfortable and content in every pose. There is no session time limit and no rush.
Q: WHERE ARE SESSIONS HELD & WHAT DO I BRING?
A: Sessions are held in my Hickman, NE studio. Everything needed for your session is provided!
Q: HOW OLD SHOULD BABY BE FOR THE SESSION?
A: Sessions are ideal between 6-21 days. This way we can get the beautiful sleepy poses that you see in my portfolio. For last minute inquires, I can still offer sessions for babies up to 6 weeks old (some poses are not guaranteed after 3 weeks).
Q: DO YOU OFFER MATERNITY AND FIRST YEAR PACKAGES?
A: Yes! I offer discounted bundle packages for newborn clients. You'll have the option to add on maternity and/or milestone sessions at your newborn booking or anytime within the first year to get the bundle price.
